I just want to rant about my best friend because she’s truly my sister. She has been so good to me. When the man that was supposed to care didn’t give a damn, she stepped up and promised to take care of my baby like her own. When I felt like my whole world was falling apart, she became my backbone. She didn’t judge me, she didn’t condemn me, she just held me with love. She sent me money when I had nothing, she encouraged me when I wanted to give up, and she promised to always stand by me, and she has kept that promise. It’s been five years since we last saw each other, yet she has never left my side.
Even when she was broke, she still found a way to give me something. That’s not just friendship, that’s real love. Her words to me were, “Don’t worry, I’m here for you. Whatever you need, I’ll try to raise it. Nothing will ever come between us. I’ll never judge you, you’ll always be my person.” Sometimes I ask myself what I did to deserve a friend like her. I just want everyone reading this to please say a prayer for her. May God bless her, may she never lack, may joy never leave her home. People like her are rare, and I’ll thank God for her every day of my life.
