I am currently in Australia and I have a wife back in Nigeria. I’ve been trying to bring her and my son to Aussie for 3/4 years now, but she’s been declining and saying she prefers staying in Nigeria to pursue her business. For real, I have no issues with that, but I explained to her that my visa application here shows we are married, and it’s making it hard to change. I went back home last year to talk about it with her again so she can come to Aussie and I will change my visa, then she can go back to Naija whenever she wants to—but she refused.
Fast forward to December, my visa ended, so I contacted an immigration lawyer. The options he gave me were: go back to Naija voluntarily, or find a girl that can do arrange marriage or give birth for me. So I was able to see someone who said she wants a child, but I need to pay her and then I can be able to get my papers. I told the lawyer, and he and the lady both talked and signed documents. Did I make the right choice as I don’t want to go back to Naija? Please advise y’all, thanks.
