Love is Hurt

Guys, help me judge this situation. Is it wrong for a lady to express her feelings openly when she’s in love? I met this young man not long ago, and he showed me love. I cared for him deeply and made my feelings known. However, he’s been cheating on me with different girls, which I never thought he was capable of. I trusted him because of how he treated me, and I believed we all make mistakes. The funny thing is, I did everything to make him happy, but I realize now that I was blind to his flaws. I’ve decided to end this relationship. I won’t be an option for any man who doesn’t respect me. I’m loved and valued at home, and my family wouldn’t want me to compromise my well-being.

I didn’t want to fall in love again because love can be scary, and some men can be hurtful. Sometimes he would insult me and call me names, thinking I’d stay quiet. But I come from a town where we stand up for ourselves. If you want respect, you must earn it. Don’t think I won’t move on; God will surprise you soon. Taking care of me doesn’t give you the right to disrespect me. You can date whoever you want, but I won’t beg for love. A broken relationship is better than a broken marriage. God knows I never cheated on you—not because I was afraid, but because of the genuine love I had for you. Ladies, don’t show men too much love; hold back a little. When you show too much love, they play you like you’re weak.
