Karma Works

You know, it’s interesting how life works sometimes. There’s this belief that karma is just a myth. But let me tell you, it can work its magic in mysterious ways, my dear. I’ll share two scenarios with you. Back when we were growing up in the same neighborhood, there was this big boy who got a girl pregnant. It was quite a situation, and everyone could see that the child looked so much like him. But shockingly, he denied the pregnancy without any remorse. Even when the child was born, he continued to deny his responsibility, despite his own mother pleading with him. He abandoned the child. However, as fate would have it, a few years later, he found himself unable to have a child of his own. It was a difficult time for him, and the grey hairs on his head were a testament to the hardships he faced. Second scenario. I had a roommate back then in school, two roommates to be precise.

Around that time, life was really tough for me and my mom, so I couldn’t pay my rent, and it was overdue. One of my roommates was always giving me words of encouragement and support, which made me feel better. But one day, I had a misunderstanding with the other roommate, so out of anger, she spoke to me in a harsh way, reminding me about the rent and telling me to come and pay. She said many hurtful things that I can’t remember, but I didn’t say anything back to her. And guess what? The following year, it was her who couldn’t pay her rent. Being the bigger person, I chose to encourage her, just like the good person that I am.” Life has its way of teaching us lessons, doesn’t it? It’s a reminder that our actions can have consequences, and sometimes, we have to face the repercussions of our choices. So, my dear, always remember to treat others with kindness and empathy, for you never know what the future holds.
