My boyfriend broke up with me three months ago. I’ve been crying and pleading with him every day, but he says he’s not changing his mind. Honestly, it’s partly my fault, but I still don’t think the breakup was worth it. I had been smoking from March to July, and it started affecting my education. My mom reported me to him, saying I wasn’t in school or at home. He kept asking me what was wrong, but I didn’t tell him it was because I was smoking.
Finally, in July, I confessed and told him I was ready to quit. He said it wasn’t about the smoking—that he could’ve worked with me if I’d been honest, but the fact that I kept it from him for so long was the problem. I’ve stopped smoking, but he’s not listening. I just want him back, but he’s blocked me everywhere. Elders, please, is his reason for breaking up worth it?
