I’m at a really low point right now. My business isn’t doing well, and I need money for rent. My best friend knows what I’m going through, that I don’t have support from home, and that I’m single, yet she keeps flooding my phone with messages about things she wants to buy—clothes, bags, hair, and gold jewelry. I swear I’m not a bitter friend, but it’s triggering feelings of jealousy that make me even more sad. I even prayed tonight, asking God to take these emotions away from me. It just feels insensitive on her part. If she can’t support me or lend me anything, the least she could do is not constantly remind me of her spending. Before I even wake up, my phone is filled with her shopping inquiries. I’ve never borrowed from her before. Am I wrong for feeling this way?
