I visited my boyfriend some time ago, and things were cool. I was cleaning and doing other stuff. Then, one day, he told me he was going out to meet his friends. I was like, “Haba, I’m home with you, and you want to go out with your friends? You have a visitor!” Immediately, my instincts told me something was up. He left and came back very late, around 11 p.m., with different excuses. I already knew what was up, but I just laughed. Yes, I was angry. The next day, he did the same thing—he came back around 1 or 2 a.m. I was really pissed off. When he slept, I took his phone and went through his chat, and I saw everything. We had a fight over it, but he begged, and I forgave him. Later, I caught him cheating again. He said he was “carried away.”
Fast forward to some days ago, I visited him again, and he said he had a job with his friends. He left around 1 p.m. and didn’t return until after 1 a.m. He claimed he was with the police at some point. I knew he was lying and told him I knew him too well. Still, he denied it. I checked his phone later and saw everything. Even after all this, he continues to lie to my face. I’m just tired of his lies, but I’m scared to start over and don’t trust the guys out there anymore. He makes me feel like I’d lose something if he ends the relationship. It’s not that I can’t leave, but I’m scared. I also don’t have many friends left because of this relationship. I cry every day because this is my first boyfriend, and my family is even tired of talking about it.
