I ran into my ex at a mall this week after almost 2 months of breaking up, and we haven’t seen each other. For the first time in 5 years, we walked past each other and never said hi. Although I was very happy to see her and was also in deep pain that things got so bad between us, I’m glad on the other hand that the breakup affected both of us because she knows I was so emotionally invested in the relationship. I couldn’t go days without calling her; she took advantage of me, and because of that, I caused a lot of drama, which I knew would affect her. Although I regret everything I did after the breakup, I am human, and knowing I love you doesn’t mean you should take advantage of my feelings for you. I reach home, light my loud, then play “Lonely” by Akon to console myself. Next time, I won’t be too emotionally attached to a girl; I’ve learned my lesson.
