I messed up big time, and I own up to it. I took his love for granted and realized it is a bit too late. I kept male friends around, even though he warned me several times. They kept buying me gifts and giving me money (I’m the firstborn and responsible for taking care of six other children). I sponsor three of them in school, and it was overwhelming. My boyfriend couldn’t come through in many things because he wasn’t okay financially yet. I started to rethink things for a few weeks and let all those men go.
I knew I was hurting him, so I decided to cut off ties completely. No money I received was worth what I’ve lost (which is the love he had for me). Now, I realize he’s been talking to someone he just met, and he told me he can’t tolerate my infidelity and disrespect anymore. He’s ready to move on with the other lady. He said he doesn’t love me anymore and doesn’t believe I can change. We’ve been together for a year. How can I earn his trust and love back? I really mean it.
