I am in a relationship with a guy I just met not long ago, but I can say I love him a lot, and I know he cares about me too. Listening to him talk, I know he has been through a lot—even trauma from past relationships. I think we get along well, but we fight often. If I hurt him during a misunderstanding, he’d want to get back at me by hurting me too, and most times, we always have silly financial misunderstandings. I feel like his experiences with women have made him defensive. Though I can take care of myself, it doesn’t mean I don’t want a supportive man. I’m willing to spoil him back as much as I want to be spoiled. It just feels like there are so many rules I want him to break free from so we could love each other without barriers.
