I had my period going on for weeks around the end of 2023. I went to the doctor to complain, and he said he would just do flushing, which he did. Ever since then, I started noticing some painful sores and tingling around my vagina, which I’m suspecting might be herpes. I complained about it, but he said I should continue using the infection medicine he prescribed, which I did. Ever since then, I keep seeing the sores, but I have not gone for a test because I’m thinking it might be aftershave bumps or normal stuff. I’m confused because I’m scared it might have been contracted from the clinic or from my previous partners. I met a guy recently, and he is very sweet and intentional. When we met, we had sex. Later, he told me to treat myself and even sent cash because he noticed some foul smell he didn’t like. Later he told me he was having some pains and itching, so he treated himself also. I’m scared now that I might have infected him with the sores. I don’t want anything to happen to my sweet boy, but I’ll be going for a test soon.
I don’t know if I should leave the relationship or not. Why is it that when I finally found someone that loves me, all this is happening? I never knew there was anything like herpes. This page made me know it; if not, I would have protected myself more. I hope it is not herpes by the time I go for the test.
