I Hate Being Watched in the Restroom

I have had this problem since before I got married—I can’t poop in front of anybody. If by mistake someone is looking at me when I’m pooping, I feel uncomfortable. My whole body starts shaking, and I wouldn’t be able to poop anymore. This is what my wife likes to do—she loves to be in the bathroom with me when I’m bathing and even when I’m pooping. But I can’t stand it! I always pour water on her and drag her out as soon as possible. The funniest part is that my poop smells so bad, yet she doesn’t mind. She said I need to adapt because it’s something she likes doing—sitting with me inside the restroom and even eating! I can’t stand it.

This same issue is happening with my first son as well. If the little boy wants to poop and I take him to the restroom, he would say, “Papa, go out and meet Mama,” the same way he would tell his mother to leave. My wife says he inherited this habit from me at such a young age. However, if he’s using his potty outside the restroom, he doesn’t complain. I remember when I was a kid in the village, we used to poop in the bush with my brothers around, and I didn’t feel uncomfortable. But the problem I have now is when I’m in the toilet—I can’t stand someone looking at me. Please help me; what can I do?
