A 25-year-old girl speaking. I’ve had a male friend for over 5 years, and we vibe really well. I think we should be of the same age group, but he doesn’t really have much going for himself, neither do I, though. Recently, we discovered that we actually liked each other, but now I’m so uncertain about whatever we have going on because we talk every day and see each other every day, but we’re not in a relationship. I find situationships really degrading and disrespectful. I really don’t know if I should stop talking to him, as it isn’t yielding anything, but I actually do like him and envisioned it blossoming into something beautiful. I dislike the question “What are we?” By the way, he’s always promising, “I owe you this, owe you that,” even on my birthday. Please don’t say no one owes you anything; it’s just not right to me.
