I’m a 21-year-old girl who has been single for almost a year. I started talking to my boyfriend in 2022, even though we hadn’t met and weren’t dating at that time. Until this year, in February, we had so many ups and downs, but still, we were strong. Also, he is the breadwinner of his family because his family depends on him a lot. So there was this day I went through his phone, and I saw he had another girl. Actually, he told me the reason he broke up with his ex was because of genotype, so literally, he and the girl were still together because he said he doesn’t have the heart to hurt people.
He explained things to me, and I forgave him. Not long after, my boyfriend changed, and I begged for his attention almost every time, so I gave up. There was this guy that had been on my table, so I decided to give him a chance to talk to him. We talked every day, and he invited me out on many occasions, which I refused to go to. Anytime he invited me, I always asked my boyfriend to let me go out and do the same, but he always said whenever he was free, we would. This guy was so disappointed in me, saying what was the essence of the relationship if I kept refusing to hang out with him.
So I told him to chill, and we don’t really talk like that anymore; we only send each other reels on IG. My boyfriend and I have gotten together, and he is not acting so distant anymore, and I was happy. But the problem here is, he went through my IG and saw my chat with this other guy. The worst part is that I sent the same reels to him that I sent to the other guy. Now he is disappointed in me and doesn’t believe me when I tell him there’s nothing between me and the guy, let alone seeing him. I really love him and don’t want to lose him, but he is not listening to me.
