I have a pressing issue that I want to share. I have been dating this lady for over a year now, and I just decided to be more accountable to both our actions and contributions to the relationship. I realized that I do almost all the reaching out—99 percent of the whole time. It was never so. This is a girl that used to check up and call always, but right now she’ll go a whole two weeks without calls or even a message on socials, even while she’s online. I have complained uncountable times, and it feels like my complaints make it worse. She will make sure to argue and tell me, “We didn’t talk for just one day and you are making an issue out of it.” I could message her for days and it will be left unread while she’s clearly online. She will give thousands of excuses about work and stress, when my job is even more demanding, but I can’t go a day without speaking to her. I sent her messages about 4 days ago with no replies from her, and decided not to bother calling or checking up since she can’t respond to messages.
I don’t understand why people now play with other people’s emotions and still claim to love them. Why not communicate with me if you don’t feel this connection anymore, instead of acting this childish and soulless? Is it even a crime to love these days? I just decided to let her be.
