How Do I Make Him Come Back?

So recently, I got in contact with my ex, and we went out just to see and catch up on old times. Now I can’t get him off my head. We were together for 2 years, but I broke it off because it wasn’t heading where I wanted. He is a nonchalant guy and he doesn’t communicate. He was living in another state, so we didn’t see each other frequently, but he was very sweet and caring whenever I was with him. He made me feel safe, didn’t stress me, and treated me the way a woman is supposed to be treated. He barely calls when we are not together, and I don’t know if he was really in love with me or just using me. My friend who was schooling in his state said he was dating someone she knew in school, but he denied it. Recently, we met, and these feelings started coming up from nowhere.

I spent the night at his place, and he made some subtle moves, but I didn’t reciprocate because I wanted him to try harder or say something. I wanted to know if he still had feelings for me, but I didn’t want to initiate the conversation. He had always been the type to bottle up emotions and keep mute, and that’s one of the things I don’t like about him. He doesn’t believe I don’t have a boyfriend, but I’m currently single and he’s also single. Now I find myself thinking of him every minute since that day. I’ve never been with a guy as sweet as him, and I know he still likes me. I want him to make a move, and I really want him back, but I’ve not made my emotions obvious to him. We got in contact just a week ago. Is he taking his time, or is he afraid I’ll turn him down? What do I do to make him come back?
