I recently met this Igbo guy who is interested in me and when we got talking he told me his level of education, and that he stopped school after his secondary school (WAEC). He wanted to further, but situations and financial constraints couldn’t let him. He is talking about marriage and I don’t know, although he speaks and writes well to an extent and he is not doing bad for himself financially. He has been able to build something good for himself over the years. I am a graduate and I am currently running my masters program. The guy seems like a nice person but my only issue is his level of education.
He said he would go back to school eventually, but currently he is focused on his business and making more money, and he is talking about marriage and settling down with me. I don’t know if I should overlook his level of education because the truth is I come from a family where education is a big deal, and if eventually I decide to marry him and take him home, my parents would ask me about his level of education and I don’t want to lie to them. I am confused, what should I do?
