So my boyfriend came to my place to pick up his clothes. We were talking in the car, and he requested my phone, which I gave him. He went to my notes, only to see my chat with my lecturer, who is also my project supervisor. After class one day, this man called me, and I went to meet him. He told me he likes me and wants to marry me as his second wife. I laughed it off because, how is this happening? Lol. He proceeded to remind me that he’s my supervisor, right? I said yes. Then he asked me to text him on WhatsApp before I leave, which I did. He replied to the chat and started saying all sorts of nonsense, down to planning a family with me.
I asked my friends who graduated this year about this, and they said they’re really scared for me, but I should follow his lead and not allow him to touch me or do anything weird he asks. He asked me to be his girlfriend, my supervisor, and I was told not to give him a yes or no answer. Even the guys who graduated from my department said the same thing. They advised me to vibe with him but not give a direct response. Back to my boyfriend. He saw that chat in my notes because I exported it, just in case I might need it. Now he’s calling me a cheat and says I should stay away from him. Lol.
He left my side angrily, and I’ve been begging him. Note that this happened in Kwara State, where I school. We often see each other because I travel to Lagos to see him during holidays. I forgave him for cheating on me weeks ago, and now he’s saying he trusts the girl he cheated with more than he trusts me because, according to him, she’s not a cheat. He has gone through her phone several times and didn’t see anything. Y’all, I’m tired. He broke up with me, and I’ve been apologizing, asking him to try and understand me.
I was scared to tell him about it because he might not believe me, and I was doing what the senior colleagues told me to do. I don’t know what to do. Please, y’all should advise me. To be honest, if he says he’s not interested, I’m not forcing it because I don’t want to start my New Year with a man who will use this as an excuse to keep cheating on me. All is well.
