I don’t know if it is proper for my partner to always go through my phone. In all honesty, I don’t have anything I’m hiding. There was a day he got hold of my phone and went through it; he even said it himself that my phone was boring. But this guy in question barely drops his phone; he safeguards it more than anything else in this world. He is too secretive with his phone. I don’t think I have ever touched that phone before. It got to a point where I stopped giving him access to my phone ‘cause I felt like if you can’t drop your phone why are you after mine? He is actually a cult!$t and I felt like maybe there is something so confidential on his phone that he hides that much. One day I got a call from an unsaved number; immediately I saw it, I knew who it was, it was a male friend of mine (haven’t heard from him in a long time, I cut ties with him because I was in a relationship and my boyfriend was not comfortable with it). I didn’t pick it up ‘cause my boyfriend warned me to stay away from the guy which I did, I even deleted the guy’s number ‘cause I didn’t want trouble. My boyfriend asked who it was; I lied but a few hours later I told him who it was and he immediately asked for my phone which I refused.
Between God and man I wasn’t hiding anything but I didn’t feel the need to always give him my phone when his is a secret treasure. I don’t even know what his wallpaper looks like, for real. I will tell my boyfriend something and the next minute he is using it against me; na me carry my mouth tell you say so and so person asked me out, if I had wanted to date him, you wouldn’t even know he exists. Someone asked me out on a date which I beautifully ignored, I told my boyfriend and he got angry. If I had the intention to do all these shitty things, I wouldn’t even tell you. I just didn’t want him to check my phone one day and see it because I’m very careless with my phone, and he can get access to it anytime he wants. He eventually broke up with me because of that. Girls that cheat in relationships last, and even if their boyfriend catches them, some don’t break up with them. Meanwhile, na call wey I receive make me collect breakfast and no be say I even pick this call, the number was not even saved for God’s sake. My phone is never on DND but his phone, I have never heard that phone ring out before. I’m so frustrated and he broke up saying it’s all my fault.
