This guy and I have been acquaintances for over two years when he suddenly asked if we could date. I was very doubtful of his intentions since he had never made his interest known in the time that we’ve known each other, and I made that known to him. We got really talking, and as this guy is very intelligent, I really liked him, and I learned a lot from him in that short while. I noticed that our conversation started slowing down at some point—he takes really long to reply to chats and posts on his status while claiming to be busy. The last message I sent to him was asking about his day, and it’s been over three weeks, and I haven’t gotten a response.
I already told myself that if he doesn’t reply to that message after a few hours, I’m done, and here we are. I still see him post about some of the things he told me he wanted to do. I’m happy for him, but my pride won’t allow me to slide into his DM. A few days ago, I needed help with some applications for school and two people recommended him, I still couldn’t bring myself to ask and here I am struggling to figure it out on my own. Omóó, I’ll be fine. Since, I feel this guy doesn’t rate me, let me hold onto my self-respect. With time, I’ll be fine.
