I’m so sad right now. I met my man last year around October, and we’ve been talking every day back to back since then. It has been a sweet ride with him because he’s extremely sweet. We’ve made plans to meet because we are not in the same country. Recently, I’ve been so caught up with a lot of things that I don’t get to call him often, only at night when I’m settled. He complained at first, and I explained to him that on days that I’d be busy, I’d make sure I drop a message to tell him I would be busy and we would talk later in the day.
That was how yesterday, I was extremely busy, and I had to travel, so I texted him, I was like “Babe I will call u when I’m settled, I’m outside”. I even sent a voice note, and he replied with sorry baby, but because of the bad network and you know how stressful using commercial cars in Lagos is, I didn’t really check my phone just to make sure they don’t snatch it from my hand. But when I was in transit and settled in the car, I checked the message and texted him back, and I started watching reels on Instagram. I waited till I got to my destination, and immediately I settled in, I texted him that I just got to where I was going.
That was how he changed it for me. He wasn’t violent with his words, but he said he couldn’t do this anymore, that I was even watching reels and I could have even texted him during that time, that it meant his chat meant nothing to me. I was sha explaining myself o severally. That was how he said he was no longer interested, and I didn’t fight it ’cause I felt he was just angry. I apologized severely though. Naso this guy blocked me this afternoon o. Before now, any little misunderstanding we have, he would say he is not doing again and we will settle, but this one, he just blocked me off. Like is that enough reason to break up with someone you claim you love?
