Abeg, who knows how I can respectfully shut my mother-in-law out of my life? Jeez! This woman loves amebo too much. She wants to know every goddamn thing going on in my husband’s and my life. She literally calls me up to 10-15 times a week, asking questions about every detail in our home, even when I don’t respond. And to top it all, she has ojukokoro. I’m not saying she shouldn’t ask her son for money, but she doesn’t pity him. Even when my husband is broke and she knows about it, she keeps pestering him for money.
Plus, she is lazy! When I gave birth to my daughter last year and she came for omugwo, all she did was sit down and watch TV all day. She didn’t even help me bathe my daughter once. It was when my husband is back from work that she now pretended as if she’d been the one taking care of the baby all day). But that’s even by the way. The reason for my rant is just to get an idea of how I can stop her from being so inquisitive about our daily life! Please help.
