This is a testimony of sorts. At the beginning of the year, I could no longer afford to keep my small business going, so I stopped it. I fell ill around the same time and was in and out of the hospital for a few weeks. I couldn’t afford the hospital bills, but a friend of mine was kind enough to loan me some money to pay the bills and extra to also take care of myself. I’m still in the process of repayment and have been paying in bits.I also live with her. I lost my mum and elder sister to a tanker explosion last year, so I fend for myself. I’ve been so depressed, but for some reason unknown to me, I decided to keep moving. I worked as a salesgirl for a while, but my boss and her family moved out of the country a few months ago.
I was balancing that job with school, and I don’t know how I did it. I don’t know how my God did it, but I signed out successfully with no carryovers and with a really high CGPA. Life is still very rough for me. On some days, I can barely feed, but I no longer feel like dying. Something tells me the storm will be over soon, and I am going to hold on to that. I pray God blesses my friend immensely. She has been my pillar; without her, I don’t know what I would’ve done. Paying her back is only the least I can do for her.
