First Meeting Or First Bill?

I have been talking to two different girls recently, and both situations left me a bit frustrated. The first one is 27 years old, a working class lady. We were just getting to know each other, and when we suggested meeting up, she said I would need to pay for her transportation to and from the location. I wasn’t comfortable with that since we hadn’t met before, so I declined, and she was quick to block me, leaving no room for dialogue whatsoever. The second girl is younger, 23, and she suggested we have a cinema date, which I agreed to. Then after, she mentioned she didn’t have anything to wear and asked if I could get her a new dress. Again, I felt this was a bit much for a talking stage. I’m not against supporting someone I’m dating in the future, but these requests came before we had even properly met or spent time together. I just feel so unfortunate to have to deal with this level of social decadence. Now I know why men abroad want nothing to do with Nigerian women. So my question is, am I wrong for feeling this way, or are my boundaries reasonable or it’s too much?
