I met this boy last year in June during my IT period. We started with a talking stage that lasted for weeks, and he was really attentive and affectionate. He was like a perfect boyfriend. As months passed, we fell deeply in love, and he even introduced me to his friends and cousins.
However, I was naive to think that he was different from his friends and cousins, who, as I later found out, didn’t value stability in relationships and cheated on their partners. Despite knowing this, I stayed with him because he lied to me, saying I was his first girlfriend. A few months later, when he brought his first ride, I discovered his true nature — he was a manipulator, a liar, a cheater, and even abusive. I have a scar on my face from one of our incidents, and he had the audacity to say it was the devil’s work and claimed he didn’t know how it happened. This was actually my first love, and I’m still trying to understand why I got so attached to him. Later, I caught him cheating, but he downplayed it, making it seem like no big deal.
My friend advised me to stay and enjoy the financial benefits, but I chose to leave the relationship peacefully without arguing with him. Yesterday was my birthday, and I blocked him everywhere. He created a new TikTok account to check my updates and was surprised to see that I could live and celebrate without him. He called me, crying and begging me to take him back. At this point, I’m unsure what to do or say, especially since he left me for two months without talking to me, and I was heartbroken.
