Expiration Date for Women?

I’ve reached the age where Nigerian men, or men in general, start seeing me as someone who’s getting close to her expiration date. I’m just 25 years old. Honestly, I just need advice from women over 25 on how to handle this stage of life. Personally, I’m not ready to settle down yet. It’s not like I’m out there dating around, I just don’t feel ready for marriage. But it bothers me when people say that 25-30 is too old for a woman. In Nigeria, many of us finish school around 21-23 years old, so how are we supposed to have everything figured out and get married before 28-30? This pressure pushes many women to rush into marriage because they feel like time is running out. I saw a comment on a post where a woman said she’s 24 and very young, and many guys disagreed, saying she’s getting close to her “expiration date.”

One even said no man wants to marry a woman over 28 because she must have slept around a lot. Who told these people that being older and unmarried meant you were promiscuous? It’s ridiculous, and it’s often those unexposed misogynistic men that have this mentality. Many of you guys understand the fact that older women might not be fertile, that’s why they go for younger women, but most of your moms had you in their 30s lol. It’s frustrating. I just want to focus on becoming financially stable and not worry about what men think. At least if I’m rich and unmarried, it’s a bonus.
