My boyfriend and I have been dating for a year, but not continuously. We broke up early last year, and he came back begging around August. Later on his phone, I found out that during the time he was trying to get back together with me, he was also texting his ex and trying to get her to come to his house, although he didn’t talk about getting back with her. Since we got back together, we’ve had issues twice where he hit me. The first time was just a slap, but the second time was multiple slaps because he saw a chat/call I had with another guy for a long time. He apologized, saying he wouldn’t do it again. I’m skeptical about continuing the relationship because I don’t think I can be with someone who hits me. Even though he claims he’ll never try it again, I’m scared that he might, or that he will wait until we are married to continue.
