Thank goodness we both went our separate ways peacefully. I couldn’t picture myself spending my life with someone so controlling and disrespectful. I was dating a single mother, and we had plans to marry before the relationship ended last week. She would get upset over every little thing I did, even things we were supposed to laugh about and move on from. She always insisted I apologize before she would let things go. When she was angry, she spoke to me rudely, like I was one of her younger siblings, always raising her voice. Later on, I realized she was still in contact with her ex, so I suspect she was intentionally pushing me away to go back to him.
