To the lady contemplating traveling, I see the comments are filled with wrong advice about traveling. I can clearly tell you traveling out of Nigeria 7 years ago was my best decision. I was working on the island earning N300k per month. Today I’m earning €6,200 (N10M) per month, and I intend moving to a bigger company before the end of the year, where I should be earning €7,000. Of all the Nigerians I know that relocated to Germany 7 years ago, the lowest earner collects €3,500 per month — and that’s because he didn’t upskill. Jakpa only if you have tech-related skills; if not, then use 2 years to upskill in Nigeria and gain experience, then leave. The highest earner from my circle collects $15k per month in Washington. The more skills you have, the more reason you MUST leave Nigeria and the higher you’ll earn. Tech-related skills include cybersecurity, automation engineering, enterprise architecture, process management, data analytics (overcrowded), software development, etc. Everything doesn’t have to be core IT like front-end or full-stack engineering. I wish you well in your decision.
