I met my boyfriend a couple of months ago, and I love him wholeheartedly. He was open and gave room for questioning so we could know each other better. He told me about his ex, but he didn’t go into details. He never told me it was someone I knew, so I later found out about it, and I felt something was going on—maybe they were still seeing each other. So, I got closer to her with the mindset of getting some information because I didn’t want to be fooled. Eventually, I loved her because she has a sweet soul. We became friends, and it was only on IG we talked before we shared contacts. We used to share reels and posts with each other before we started talking about our past experiences in relationships. She told me about her past, and I shared mine too. That’s how I got to know she was still in love with my boyfriend. I also found out they got separated about two months ago, but my boyfriend told me they broke up early last year. I was so confused and sad at the same time. She told me a lot about it, and I was scared because I didn’t want the same thing to happen to me.
Now, my boyfriend has found out, and everything is complicated. He’s mad at me because he told me to stop talking to her, and he knew I was having conversations with her. My new friend is heartbroken, and I’m mentally drained. The three of us are having a difficult time. My new friend/ex has moved on, and she told me to move on with him since I love him. But the problem now is that if I continue the relationship with my boyfriend, I will need to end my friendship with her, and I love her already. We both agreed to stop the friendship, but I still want to talk to her. This vulnerable situation has shattered my heart. My relationship with my boyfriend is on hold, and my friend has backed off. I’m in the middle now—I don’t know what to do. He told me he needs to clear his head and doesn’t want anyone in his business for now. I don’t even know if the relationship is still on or not. My past seven days have been exhausting, miserable, and entangled.
