He has met my mum, dad, and entire family, and I have met his mum and elder brothers. We are planning to see his dad this Xmas. I low-key want to keep the pregnancy—it’s 50:50 sha. But he is 100% in; he wants it. I have told him I don’t want to carry a pregnancy or give birth out of wedlock. I’m the first child, and I dreamt of getting married honorably. But since this has already happened, there’s nothing I can do about it, and abortion is not an option.
We talked about it, and he said he will meet my family in January to pay my bride price and do the necessary traditional rites. However, the court wedding will happen the year after I give birth—that’s 2026. But it’s not what I want.
