I have known this guy for about a year before we started talking because he is friends with my brother. P.S. I only know him as my brother’s friend and only see him around the vicinity sometimes, we don’t talk. So he asked for my number, that was about 4 years ago. We got talking and he said he likes me and stuff like that. At first, I was like, I don’t think I am sure about this because you are friends with my brother. But then after several conversations, I got to know he is a G guy and smokes a lot, and I literally told him that we cannot be together because of that. Sometimes we get into some misunderstandings during conversations and we don’t talk for months. So I decided to just stop talking to him. But then again, he texts me and we get back to talking. It literally happened a lot of times and the last one was in 2023 that lasted for close to almost a year because he deleted my number and I deleted his too.
But he got my number again somehow and texted me saying he missed talking to me. He’s always asking that I come pay him a visit or we go out, but then we are not dating and not really friends, so why should I come to your place where you stay with friends? Now we are literally just friends, but sometimes he says stuff like he wants us to still be together. He also mentioned something about retiring when I asked a question about where he sees himself in a few years from now. Does a G guy retire? From what? I tried asking again, but then he ignored the question. Sometimes I think he is hiding something from me. What do I do? I don’t want to come off as being a selfish person, so I agreed to just being friends. Yeah, I would have gotten into a relationship with him, but those two things are actually a no for me.
