My friends and I are falling out because of a particular issue. I have four friends, and we do almost everything together. In 2022, I decided to start a skincare business and told my friend about it. When we resumed a new semester, one of my friends had already started the business. I felt bad and told my other friends, but they said maybe she had always had it in mind. Fast forward to 2024, I had been planning to start a body enhancement business, but this time, I kept it to myself.
In August, my friend launched a new business, and it was a body enhancement business. I was happy for her and launched mine in October. Now, my friends are telling me to quit the business and look for something else to do. I bluntly refused, and now it’s causing a rift between us. When they confronted me, I told them I had always had it in mind, but they still insist I quit. Am I wrong for starting the business? Or should I quit like they all said?
