My boyfriend and I have been dating for 10 months. The journey has been sweet. He already took me to his parents’ house and introduced me to his family. Four months ago, we both attended a party. During the party, out of his 100% attention, he gave me 40%. While we were at the same place, he was dancing with other ladies in a compromising way. I was a bit jealous and had to leave the scene to stay with my friends. An acquaintance of ours mistook another lady as my boyfriend’s babe due to what he had heard. I had to overlook that part until we were on our way home. I saw the same girl’s chat open on my boyfriend’s phone. I didn’t get to see the chat content, but I was sure it was the girl’s chat. Meanwhile, the lady was right behind us because we were all heading in the same direction. I wondered what it was they wanted to talk about that couldn’t be said in our presence.
A few friends were with us in the car. I thought, “Are these people toying with my brain? Why would they be chatting when we’re all in the car if nothing is between them?” I didn’t utter any word in the car because I didn’t want to cause a scene. After he dropped me at my place, I called him on VC when he got home. He picked the call, and I asked him to flip his camera to see if he was alone, because the girl was still in the car after he dropped me. He refused to flip his camera, saying he felt insulted and asked if I didn’t trust him. We later settled the issue. My boyfriend said he had intended to text the girl to tell her to chill because he wanted to drop me first before dropping her. Thank God his mind told him not to. Ever since we settled the issue, my boyfriend has been acting cold towards me. I had to frustrate him one day before he spoke up and said he needed time to heal because I had really broken him with the issue.
He said as time goes on, he will get over it. I try to help him heal, but it wasn’t enough for him. It has been over four months since the issue, and our relationship has gotten worse. He now ignores me, his level of care towards me has reduced, and I feel like I don’t interest him anymore. He doesn’t want to see me, and we hardly talk. We might not talk for days. I text and call, but he doesn’t respond and gives flimsy excuses. He keeps assuring me that everything is fine and that we’re not breaking up. He says it’s just his way of being and that he’s not doing this deliberately. I will be in the comments section.
