I have a baby who just clocked 1 year, but I do not want to cut her hair as people regularly do when the child reaches one year. Nothing is wrong with her hair—it’s full and soft. I’ve asked my mum, friends, and others for the reason behind trimming or barbing a child’s hair at 1 year old, and the only response I’ve gotten is, “so that fresh or new hair will grow.” I don’t agree with this philosophy because the hair babies are born with is already new and fresh, right? Plus, my child is a girl, not a boy, so why should I cut her full hair? There’s nothing wrong with it. So, please doctors, nurses, and everyone, I need your opinions and advice with facts. By the way, her hair isn’t “dada” either. Thank you.
