I recently relocated to the UK to meet with my partner. While settling in, I began job hunting. Due to the distance in my city, I couldn’t get a job on time, and I got pregnant. My husband informed his family; they all know. This is my first pregnancy—no help, plus “japa” depression again.
But my in-laws, whenever they call, the first thing they ask is, “Have you gotten a job?” These people know I’m pregnant. I’m currently seven months gone, struggling with life, and they still keep asking if I’ve gotten a job. I really don’t understand it at this point.
