I met a girl online a few weeks before she traveled out. She’s always been on my Instagram, but we never really had the chance to talk. One Thursday evening, I commented on her profile, and we kicked it off right there. We got along so well, and in about a week, she told me we shouldn’t deceive ourselves and admit we’re in love. She was actually right, but I hadn’t been in a relationship for so long, and I didn’t want to end up in something that wouldn’t work out. But I liked this babe. We started dating, and everything was going smoothly. We couldn’t see each other before she traveled because I was in another state, far from where she was. When she traveled abroad, the relationship was still going well, but after a few weeks, she ghosted me.
I think she found someone else. I was really pained because there was no closure, and it was obvious she led me on. I texted her a week later to say I still loved her and asked why she ghosted me. She just said she was sorry and couldn’t be in a relationship with me. I moved on. Some months later, I texted her again to say hi. We talked for about an hour. She was already in a relationship, and we laughed about the whole thing. But I think a part of me still likes her. I thought I was over her. A few days later, she came to my DM to complain about her relationship and how it was going. Eventually, the boyfriend ghosted her, and she decided to cut off the relationship. But after she sent the breakup message, the boyfriend came back apologizing. She loves him, and they got back together.
She still calls me to talk, but I don’t think I can cope anymore because I think I’m still very much in love with her. I want to cut her off so I can be happy and forget her because I know she’s happy with that guy. She says she loves me, but I know she loves him more. I’m really confused. Should I explain to her that I can’t continue being friends because I love her, or should I just stop picking her calls?
