My man has the habit of going off during conversations for hours. He goes off to work—he does remote jobs. We might be having a deep conversation, and he would just stop replying. Yes, I know he is busy once he does that, but it’s the habit of not informing me that he was going to get busy that I don’t understand. I have tried to talk to him about it, and he just shuns me off, saying, “I obviously know he was busy, why should he still inform me?” We had a fight about it because I told him that was the barest minimum thing he can do.
I am not telling him not to work—in fact, I don’t disturb him. Just the “I am going to be busy” text, that’s all I ask. And he makes it look like I’m asking for too much. I don’t understand. Or am I the one overthinking? Yesterday we were chatting around 11 a.m., then he stopped replying and started calling me around 8 p.m. No single information on him getting busy till then. I have decided to stop complaining sha, since he won’t change. It hurts, but I’ll stop.
