The truth is, everyone’s got something they’re going through, and it’s not easy. But one thing to never forget, in the midst of it all, is that even if it’s just for a second, there is always something to smile about. You woke up? Smile, ’cause that’s no easy feat. You were able to eat dinner? Smile, ’cause you worked hard for it. You hear a joke about a funny TV show? Smile (or laugh). While it might seem like there’s nothing to smile about, there is always at least one good reason to smile. Studies have shown that smiling releases certain brain “juices” that make us feel good, elevate our mood, and relax our body. It won’t make our problems go away, but don’t we deserve to feel relaxed, even for a second, amidst all the noise? So, even if it’s just for a second, think about something worth smiling about and smile. It’ll feel good, I assure you. Science says so too. Hahaha… Smile.
