My daddy built a big house and rented out most of the rooms while we kept the upstairs for ourselves. I was in JSS1 when one of the couples in our house was moving to their newly built apartment. Let’s call the husband Mr. A. We children in the compound were helping to move the items we could carry into the parked truck outside. At one point, I was the only little girl inside the room with Mr. A. He didn’t waste time wrapping his hands around my neck, resting them on my small breast. He asked if I was going to miss him. I was shocked. Before I could say a word, we heard footsteps from the other children, and he removed his hands. That incident never stopped playing in my head for years, especially since he had a store in front of our house, so I never stopped seeing him.
A month ago, a WhatsApp TV I follow posted an incident that happened in my hometown. It was about three men who slept with a little girl. They mentioned the area where it happened, which was my area. I watched the video and recognized the three men since I had lived there for years. A few days later, my younger sister sent me a link to watch the same video. She added a voice note, saying Mr. A was in the video. I went back to watch, and it wasn’t three men but four. The girl claimed Mr. A was calling her to his store and giving her money. Why is he giving her money if not to molest her later? I read the comments on the post, and people said the same thing about Mr. A. I hope he gets caught again or that the children he has or may have molested speak up.
