My fiancé doesn’t like me showing too much respect to his relatives, as he believes it will lead to them taking advantage of me. Firstly, he normalized telling his friends to take the plate of food I served them with to the kitchen whenever they visit us, which he used to say jokingly, or he would pack the plates by himself. Secondly, he invited me to their family party, but before we arrived, he told me not to kneel down too much, suggesting I just bend while greeting them. I’m worried that his relatives will think I’m a rude person who lacks respect. How do I handle this, please?
