I met my boyfriend in 2021; we dated for a few months and broke up the same year. But we still have each other’s contact. Fast forward to this year, he messaged me and asked us to come back together which I agreed because I don’t have any relationship. We talked about our past and mistakes. Now that we are together, he started talking about settling down; my boyfriend is 28 and I am 25. But he is staying with his brother; he has been talking about getting his own apartment and furniture next year. But he told me that we should start contributing money for the apartment together; I will be the one to hold the savings. He didn’t mention how much he would be dropping; he is only worried about how I want to be contributing.
I have my own shop and businesses; I’m an undergraduate and I’m still living with my parent. He is into handwork. Recently, I told him that I want to move out of my shop to another location but still searching for another shop. He told me to stop looking for another shop that I should continue managing my shop till we get an apartment. Hmm 🤔. This my guy doesn’t give me money and me too, I no dey ask him again. Now, he wants me to contribute money for him to be able to rent a mini flat. Right now, I don’t know what to tell him, please, I need advice 🙏🏻, because this is my first time hearing a boyfriend asking his girlfriend to contribute money to rent an apartment.
