I want you all to kindly give me your opinions about this matter. We learn every day, and I might be wrong. I was at home a few days ago when my elder sister, her husband, and the husband’s younger brother came to the house. I was surprised to see her husband’s younger brother, and he said he came to say hi to me. My sister and her husband testified to it and told me, oh, he came to say hi to me. When they were leaving, her husband’s brother asked for my contact and said we should hang out. I didn’t think much of it because I saw him as just a normal guy who wanted to be friends. I wasn’t really cool with it, so I asked him to tell his brother and my sister if they were fine with us hanging out. He said he did that already. We went to a nice restaurant, and all we did was chat, laugh, and talk about the Lagos lifestyle. We both went to our houses (he stays with my sister and her husband).
I woke up today to messages from my sister telling me to back off, that I do not have class, and that I lack boundaries. She then threatened to report me to our mum if I continued. I got pissed and told her to grow up. I told her I was an adult, and she couldn’t talk to me anyhow. I am 24, while she is 25. She said lots of things, and I called my mum and told her so she could judge the matter. She listened to me explain, and when I was done, she blamed me and called me names a mother shouldn’t call her daughter. She said I should never have any business with my sister’s husband’s family, and that I lack self-respect. Mind you, I was in my house when they came; she said it in their presence and also took permission from his brother. I have been left speechless since then because all I did was honour his invitation without any bad intentions. I feel so hurt. I have blocked the guy’s number because I want my peace. Kindly judge the matter.
