They have finally used me to while away time for one year to wait for an ex to come back to her senses and accept him. This is my story; I met this guy last year in March (3rd of March). He approached me, we exchanged contacts, and he texted me the next day. We began talking. He just came to Nigeria (not a Nigerian though, but from West Africa) for work. I helped him a lot. I showed him around my city and even took him to stay in a cheap hotel for a while because I assumed he didn’t have money. I wasn’t even after money; I just naturally liked him. We didn’t go intimate for like a month because when we met, it was Ramadan. After Ramadan, we got intimate. He told me he had a girlfriend in Rwanda, but they were having issues—a girlfriend of 4 years. To cut the long story short, they broke up after he stayed in Nigeria for 5 months (he was supposed to stay for 3 months).
Their break-up was me$$y. Then he took things seriously with me. I secretly read their breakup texts. The girl told him she didn’t want the relationship anymore because of the age difference. She’s 23, and the guy is 45 (single), and she has moved on, saying she even has another boyfriend. They blocked each other on social media. He moved on too. This guy was so sweet that I thought he was in love with me. I thought all my years of being in toxic relationships had led me to a good man. He then told me he wanted to go to Rwanda to do some paperwork. I was happy for him. He booked his flight for Sunday, and then on Friday, he called me and told me he couldn’t continue with me. He said we had a nice time, and he enjoyed every moment with me, but what we think we have can’t continue. He came to Nigeria to work and didn’t want any commitment in this country.
He wanted a hit-and-go, not for keeps. This was someone who officially asked me to be his girlfriend in November after we had been intimate since April. We even traveled around Nigeria together. He went back, crawling and begging his ex to love him. Since he’s a big-time money spender and she couldn’t find any guy like him, she came back because she knows the guy loves her so much. I forgot to add, he is sending her brother to Thailand to learn gemstone cutting. I am so heartbroken. I didn’t do anything to deserve this. I have been a good, loving, and supportive girlfriend. He chose to wake up and hurt me. I wish he had waited for me to mess up (which I know I never would have) to break up with me. Then I wouldn’t have felt this hurt and pain. I feel used and betrayed. Anyway, it’s well.
