I have a boyfriend, and we’ve been in a relationship for over nine months. He’s so overprotective and jealous, and he also gets angry over little things. Every time he sees my chat with another guy, he sees it as flirting. I’ve stopped talking to all my male friends because of him; I even deleted my childhood friend’s number from my phone. Two nights ago, he slept at my place, and the next morning, he checked my phone. He saw a message where a male friend told me he had an accident, and I responded, “Take care of yourself.” My boyfriend started shouting in my house, questioning why I would tell another guy to take care of himself. I was really pissed and shouted back, asking him to leave. Since he left my house yesterday, we haven’t texted. I don’t know if I’m at fault or if he’s overreacting.
