I am beginning to get tired of my talking stage. My talking stage guy and I have been communicating for 3 months. We don’t stay in the same city, and we have not seen each other, but we always talk on the phone. We are planning on meeting up, but my issue is ever since we started talking, this guy has only sent me N25k, and it was because I asked him. I am not the kind of girl who likes asking people all the time for money. I like surprises, but he’s not even behaving like a giver. I don’t know if it’s because we have not seen each other that he is not giving me much or if he is not a giver. Mind you, I am not broke; I am also working and earning well before some people will come to the comment section to comment ‘broke girl.’ Imagine your so-called boyfriend that doesn’t do anything for you since the very first day you met him, under every girl’s like on Instagram.
I don’t need a dime from him because I earn at least N90k every month from the office job I do plus my NYSC alawee. I know it’s little, but it covers my basic needs. The days I’ve decided to test him and ask him for money, there’s always nothing, just story upon story. But please, apart from the common stupid saying that girls are gold diggers, why will you go into a relationship if you are not capable of sending the smallest amount to the girl you claim you like? Like, come on. Sometimes I do feel the urge to send him N50k because I have some reasonable savings that I started long ago, but I do feel like it’s unnecessary and he may just be pretending.
