I still haven’t learned my lessons. After I was served hot breakfast by my ex, who even abused and beat me four years ago, I just realized today that I’m still that big fool who was cheated on and abused in 2019. Only to have gotten myself entangled with another mad man who I thought was helping me by offering me to stay at his place after I got a job in Lagos last year. I moved into his house with the thought that I’d save up and get my own apartment in a month. Yes, I was able to save up to N600k, only for uncle to ask me to borrow him the money that he was going to pay back. He paid back N400k out of the N600k and hasn’t given me the balance since then. As an understanding girlfriend, I didn’t disturb him because I felt he was going to return it when he is ready. The whole time I had to suspend my house hunt.
To my greatest surprise, uncle started acting strange and wouldn’t talk to me for weeks. The worst part is that he now asks me to leave the house and look for where to sleep for the weekend because he’s expecting a female visitor. Mumu me will also go and sleep at my colleague’s house because I felt he was doing me a favor by housing me in the first place. Pay me my balance and let me go rent my own house. You are asking for more time, but if you want to have visitors, you keep asking me to leave the house without even caring if I have where to sleep or not. Not to even mention times when he’d make me sit at his gate because he went out with his friends. I can’t believe this is happening to me at this my big age. I can’t complain to anyone because I can’t bring myself to tell them that I borrowed a man my house rent. I AM TIRED.
