I am a 25-year-old lady. I worked for a certain company for 18 months; the job was not too mentally demanding. I performed really well there, but I quit because I had the worst colleagues. I’d like to think I’m not stupid because I used to do really well in school, but I also understand that school and practical work aren’t the same thing. After I left my previous company, I got a new job a few weeks later, which was really mentally demanding (like I had to use my brain a lot, and I dealt with numbers too a lot). Even though I studied finance in school, I’ve always been bad with numbers. Sometimes I will see numbers that aren’t there. The more I try to focus so I don’t make mistakes, the more mistakes I’ll make. I worked in the new company for 3 months and was fired because I made too many mistakes. I feel so stupid. Am I really just stupid, or do I just have a problem with numbers? Having a problem with numbers… is that even a real thing, or am I just looking for an excuse to make myself feel better?
