I left my 7-year relationship early last year ’cause the relationship has been t0xic ever since I got pregnant by him and till I had my child. Reasons he beat me? At one point, he became broke and started thinking I was going to leave him. “Shey me that is pregnant out of wedlock will leave you and go stay with my African parents?” lol whose parents accept such? So I couldn’t take the beatings again. I had to beg and inform my parents about it. There was a strike then and we were about to resume school again. So my parents asked his parent to take the child in till I was done with schooling; the child was just 2 months old then. I went to my ex’s house in Lagos from Ekiti then. They didn’t allow me to enter and it was raining heavily then, lol they left me and their grandson outside till night that very day. I had to go look for somewhere to sleep… everything went like that till the next day. My dad had to threaten them on the phone with the police. Mind you, my baby daddy’s parents are pastors oo.
So the next day, my ex’s mum had to look for transport fare for me to go back to Ekiti, to go stay with her uncle for a while. I went back the next day to Ekiti. To cut the long story short… I went to drop the child with them. I didn’t just abandon him ’cause of school, I stayed with him till he was 5 months old, then traveled back to school. Now my baby is 2 years plus. They won’t allow me to take him out. The questions might come this way: “Don’t you call them to check on your child?” I do it almost every day. “Don’t you go check on me?” I do whenever I’m on holiday and even got him things. They don’t even allow their family members who like sending me their pics to send them again. It’s the granny that gave that rule, sha. There was a day when his mum said nobody can collect this child from her again, lol the child you left in the rain then. I will be traveling out after school and hoping to take him along. Please house, how can I go about it? I talked to my ex already though, and he said till then. Make we still dey watch.
