Okay, here is my story, because the whole issue is getting me confused. So, I’ve got a friend that I’ve known for close to five years now. We got to know each other from the university, so right from time, because I’m someone who likes buying things for people I like, even when I don’t have enough, whenever I buy food, I always buy for this friend. To the extent that I started buying her other things, like the wigs she wears now. I sent her money for them. Her iPhone, I also sent a part of it so she could get herself an iPhone. This is amongst other things I’ve bought for her. So just recently, I was hungry, she called, and I asked her to buy me snacks. I waited and waited, didn’t get a reply, so I decided to go get myself food, which was noodles. I posted about getting noodles on my snap. She saw this and got offended that I bought food without getting for her when I know very well she’s hungry.
She started calling me names that I’m wicked, went to the extent of reporting me to her younger brother that I starved her. And this is someone I always buy food for 80% of the time, and apart from food, I always buy other things for her. After letting her know I didn’t like the idea of her reporting me and the rest, and that she should stop expecting too much from me, she went ahead and blocked me on all social media platforms. Currently, I’ve given up on friendship, ’cause if I had a friend that will do what I do for her, I’ll be the happiest person on the planet earth. So my people, I don’t plan on settling with her or even apologizing like I used to, ’cause I don’t see anything wrong with what I did. First of all, I owe no obligation to always buy her food. Secondly, I had no idea she was yet to eat. Was I wrong?
